It is my pleasure to introduce our new CEO. He comes to us with over 25 years of experience driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and community impact. Ian brings a commitment to empowering youth and promoting healthy behaviors in high-potential communities.
His leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, innovation, and results-based management. Ian’s career spans roles in youth development and education.
At the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club, he solidified $2.4 million in new funding, and forged strategic partnerships, particularly with the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD), that expanded high-quality programs and earned national recognition, including the 2022 National Summer Learning Association Award.
That role then led to a 2-year stint with SMMUSD managing Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP) across their elementary and middle school sites.
You may recognize him from earlier in his career when Ian served as WFIT’s Health Outreach Program Director for over 15 years, shaping initiatives that advanced the organization’s mission and strengthened its internal culture. AND sharing terrible Dad jokes allegedly.
A recognized advocate for equity and opportunity, Ian has worked closely with school districts, community organizations, and stakeholders to design programs that deliver measurable outcomes and lasting impact. His commitment to well-being and organizational development has positioned WFIT for its next era of growth and innovation.
