Leslie Balcazar began her professional journey with A World Fit for Kids! in 2013 as a Substitute Coach, fulfilling her dream of working in an after-school program. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, Leslie was unable to participate in such programs due to gang violence in her neighborhood, making this work deeply personal.

Now an industry veteran with a decade of experience, Leslie is a dedicated mentor who inspires youth to believe in their potential regardless of their background. Her achievements include certifying Norwood Street Elementary School as a Healthy a Behavior School Site and creating the virtual fitness program FITNESS during the COVID-19 pandemic, which incorporated self-awareness and social-emotional Learning.

Leslie’s passion for community extends beyond her work. In her free time, she enjoys serving her neighborhood, working out, designing cosplays, and rescuing stray animals. Her mission is to show youth that their stories matter and their dreams are within reach.
