Luis Vasquez is passionate about serving inner-city marginalized youth. He believes that trusting relationships and critical support that complement their natural gifts and curiosities can help youth reach their greatest potential. In his role as Chief of Staff, Luis is honored to advance the mission of A World Fit for Kids! by building a networkof champions committed to creating opportunities for its youth.

With more than 16 years of experience as a non-profit administrator in Southern California, Luis has excelled in roles including executive leadership, project management, business development, and trauma-informed coaching. He has led one of Los Angeles County’s largest and most successful social service partnership programs focused on youth development. 

Luis also serves on the Family and Community Services Commission under Mayor Karen Bass. Luis’ commitment to equity stems from witnessing the uneven playing field for children from diverse backgrounds. Over the past decade, he has worked tirelessly in public education and the nonprofit sector to disrupt systemic disparities and change narratives for youth.
