Positions Currently Available:
Coach Mentor
(Elementary, Middle & High School Campuses)
As we gear up for the summer and fall, we are searching for passionate individuals who can help us address the fitness needs of our K-12 students.
Given the impact that COVID-19 has had on our youth, we are expanding our afterschool activities to include robotics and coding programs, as well as emphasizing nutrition, leadership training, and community service projects.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sport, enrichment, nutrition, and other physical activity sessions.
- Manage a group of school-aged students, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
- Occasionally attend training outside of typical program hours and on weekends, as required.
- Participate in weekly site meetings and contribute to discussion topics.
- Manage site equipment and resources responsibly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of special events and field trips for your site.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A passion for working with youth on their mental and physical health.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent when starting the position.
- Experience in implementing out-of-school healthy behaviors, educational, and/or enrichment activities is a plus.
- Effective communication skills and sensitivity to others.
- Spanish communication is an asset (but not required).
- Regular participation in physical activity will be required.
Days / Hours:
- Mon to Fri – Approximately 3.25 hours per day/after-school hours ranging from 1:00pm – 6:30pm.
- Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Compensation:
- Starting hourly rate = $21.00

Physical Activity Leader
(Elementary, Middle & High School Campuses)
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Lead exercises and fun physical activities and games that include warm-ups, dynamic/static stretching, and skill development.
Sessions may also include dancing, fitness training, yoga, breathing/mindfulness, or other activities that help build students’ social, emotional, mental, and motor skills.
Prerequisites for Physical Activity Leaders:
- Experience leading group exercise; certification in personal training or coaching sports; a degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or exercise physiology is preferable but not required.
- Competence in group management.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and an outgoing personality.
- Completion of in-person physical activity training provided by WFIT.
