Empowering Kids: Taking Control of Their Future
Kids, especially those who are disadvantaged, often feel they lack control over their lives. A World Fit For Kids! empowers them to realize they have the ability to control their own bodies, creating a ripple effect that extends outward.
When kids feel good about themselves, they begin to feel good about others, too. Taking charge of their health leads to taking charge of their education, which opens up more opportunities to excel and take control in other areas of life.
Since 1994, healthy living and social-emotional development have been the heartbeat of every activity and project-based learning experience we offer at A World Fit For Kids! Our programs are designed to help students build positive relationships, acquire essential skills, and become self-confident, motivated learners who value and understand the importance of living fit and fulfilling lives.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to providing both virtual and in-person activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Our programs run every weekday from the end of the school day until 6pm. Students at our 15 Los Angeles school sites receive a nutritious meal, homework assistance, and engage in a variety of exciting enrichment activities. These include physical activity, sports, nutrition and healthy snack preparation, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) projects, and much more!

Elementary School Programs
Nourishing Matters:
Nourishing Matters focuses on food as a “key regulator,” along with exercise, sleep, and relationships, that affects physical energy, focus, and emotional well-being.
Students learn about serving sizes, food labels, vitamins and minerals, and the importance of fruits and vegetables. They gain hands-on experience preparing healthy foods, laying the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating choices.
By teaching kids the importance of nutrition and physical activity, we help them develop habits that support their overall well-being. Our programs encourage students to take control of their health, leading to better academic performance and greater opportunities in life.
Engaging children at all grade levels, this program offers hands-on experiences that emphasize the importance of healthy eating and motivate students to make choices that support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. They learn about the four energy regulators that impact well-being, how to shop on a budget, prepare healthy snacks, and much more!
Write Brain Project:
This unique opportunity allows upper-grade students to unleash their creativity. They work both collaboratively and independently to enhance their collaboration, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills. By the end of the program, they become published authors, proud of their accomplishments.
